Congratulations! You survived remote learning and all the adjustments thrust upon you because of Covid. It is hard to imagine what school will look like this year, but one thing is certain, we must keep moving, we must keep learning and teaching whether it is brick and mortar, remote learning, or a combination of both.
Summer is a time for rest, family and fun. It is also a time to practice and ready for the upcoming school year.
Please have your child continue to work in 3rd grade IXL, with a focus on mastering these IXL skills achieving 90%:

1. C.10 Addition input/output tables
2. D.8 Subtraction input/output tables
3. M.12 Addition, subtraction, multiplication, division word problems
4. FF.17 Compare area and perimeter of 2 figures
Language Arts:
1. N.New Read passages about food, arts and traditions
2. PP.4 Preposition review

I would also like for your child to read two RQ books over the summer and take an RQ quiz on each book. Books must be at least on a 3.5 grade level or higher.
Finally, have your child complete the book report on his/her favorite RQ book on google forms-see link below.

*A word document of the book report is available if you prefer. Send me an email and I will forward you a copy.
If you have any questions, please email me at kris.miller@sascolts.org
I look forward to meeting you all in the fall!
