Monday’s Homework

Tar Beach
We have been learning about theme, empathy, story telling and the power of words.
To pull it all together we created our very own story quilts.


Weekly IXL skills:  
ELA JJ.4 simple subject and predicate.
Science:  J.1 Living/Non living 
Social Studies: Q.1 Facts/Opinion

Tonight’s work:
Fragment worksheet 1-5 only
Vocabulary: match the meaning 1-6
Read and Record nightly (at least 20 minutes)

Reading:  read the story Joe and the Bike, do not answer the questions, we will go over as a class.

Reading Log: read for 20 minutes every night- count the minutes spent on Joe and the Bike towards your total time.

Focus skills: 4 types of sentences and identify the subject in a sentence. Work to a smart score of 70  on each skill.  *some students have already completed these skills to 100 and will not need to practice tonight.
